August 15, 2011: Following several authorized and unauthorized demonstrations in downtown Tunis, clashes broke out on the hill and in the alleys near Habib Bourguiba Avenue between rioters and police. Stones were thrown at tear gas canisters starting at 11 a.m. and continuing throughout the afternoon.
