June 27, 2019: Once again, the heart of Tunis was struck by a terrorist attack, which ISIS claimed responsibility for that same evening. A young Tunisian man blew himself up this morning at 11 a.m. near a police car in the historic and commercial heart of Tunis on Habib Bourguiba Avenue. The toll: one municipal police officer killed and five injured. A few minutes later, a second suicide bombing took place at the Gorjani counterterrorism police barracks at the top of the Tunis medina, leaving three people injured.
